Joe Esham, also known as Ramblin' Roots, is an Eastern Shore native hailing from Nanticoke, MD. His journey into music started early when he was given a bass guitar at age 13. After many years of learning several different instruments, it was the Weissenborn Lap Steel Guitar that truly caught his attention. It was the raw bluesy sound mixed with a beautiful vocal sensibility that seemed to speak to his soul. Now armed with his guitar across his lap and slide in hand, Joe croons and wails his way through some of his favorite blues, reggae, and americana classics. As well as crafting unique and heartfelt original music. Under the name Ramblin' Roots you can find rootsy singer/songwriter recordings. You can also find relaxing Weissenborn instrumentals, electronic music, and introspective dub under the name Rivers.End. Either playing solo or accompanied by his close friends (Charlie Greenhaugh - vocals/upright bass, Kyle Coffey - Keys/Harmonica, Dave Gladding - Drums/Percussion), Ramblin Roots has been making quite an impression on the local music seen lately. With any luck you will catch them live and direct soon!
